The final “construction phase” is the close-out phase, which occurs after the build is completed but before the project is formally handed over to the owner. The aim is to ensure that everything has been done in accordance with the client’s specifications—and that there are no loose ends or lingering difficulties that will come back to haunt you. The project may be formally closed once you have performed the final inspection and the client has given their permission. The close-out phase also provides a chance for us to undertake a post-project evaluation.
